The Genesis series
These three images can suggest meeting, union, and the continuation of life. Look at them in sequence and find your own connection between them. This is one possible reading, not the only way to see the artworks.
What changed between the first and last images—and what remained in common?
Number reference
The numbers describe visible groups in the originals: the main pattern and distinct levels of detail. These are observations about the artwork, not a personal calculation or prediction. Where no unambiguous number has been established, none is assigned.
| Artwork | Main number | Visible basis | Other levels |
|---|---|---|---|
| 001 · Crimson Fractal Flower | 6 | Six large feathery petals radiate from a common core. | — |
| 002 · Golden Swirls | 4 | Four large areas of golden pattern are arranged around a central cross. This is a count of the large parts of the composition; small details are not entirely identical. | 8: Around the center, eight large golden swirls with red centers are discernible, arranged in pairs. |
| 003 · Golden Ribbons | 3 | The golden pattern repeats in three sectors around the center. In each sector, two outer groups of green lights are visible. | 6: Six pairs of green lights are arranged along the outer circle; we count the pairs, not the individual points. |
| 004 · Point of Light | 3 | Three wide fans of lines converge at a light center. Their directions can be found from the top left, right, and bottom left. | — |
| 005 · Light Wreath | 12 | Twelve light groups are located on the inner edge of the wreath, like twelve positions on a clock face. | 4: A more detailed pattern repeats in four sectors; each contains three light groups.; 3: Inside each of the four repeating sectors are three light groups: 4 × 3 = 12. |
| 006 · Lilac Wings | 4 | Four large lilac wings are turned toward a common core. | 8: Four pairs of golden lights are arranged around the center: eight individual points. |
| 007 · Blue Vortex | 6 | Six large blue swirls with red tips form an outer circle. | 3: The full pattern repeats in three sectors: two large swirls in each. These two levels give 3 × 2 = 6. |
| 008 · Emerald Rays | 5 | Five wide emerald fans radiate from the center. | 10: Five pairs of golden lights are visible closer to the center: ten light points in total. |
| 009 · Turquoise Orbits | 4 | Four turquoise swirls form a large pattern shape. | 8: Four pairs of golden lights are located on the outside: eight individual points. |
| 010 · Fiery Spirals | 4 | Four fiery spirals repeat around a dark center. | — |
| 011 · Green Roundel | Not assigned | Fans and swirls overlap and differ noticeably in size. No leading number has been established yet; the pattern is available in the general collection. | — |
| 012 · Sun Flower | 6 | Six distinct petals form a sun flower in the center. The outer arcs support the same six-part rhythm. | — |
| 013 · Light Interlacings | 4 | Four large light swirls are arranged around a common center. | 8: In each of the four groups, two light-pink crescents are visible: eight in total. |
| 014 · Green Radiance | 8 | Eight large sectors of a green pattern are marked by eight outer stars. | — |
| 015 · Light Stained Glass | 6 | Six bright petals form an inner flower; six bright light nodes repeat around it. | — |
| 016 · Golden Lace | 8 | Eight golden petals make up the inner flower; eight outer lights repeat this rhythm. | — |
| 017 · Crimson Lotus | 7 | Seven wide crimson petals form the outer contour of a lotus. | — |
| 018 · Amber Arcs | 3 | Three large sectors of transparent amber arcs repeat around the center. | 9: At the central ring, three groups of three light nodes are visible: nine in total; small glints inside the nodes are not counted separately. |
| 019 · Starry Clover | 4 | Four large transparent petals form a clover. | 12: In four blue groups, there are three distinct lights each: twelve in total. |
| 020 · Fiery Arcs | 3 | Three large sectors of fiery arcs repeat the composition of mandala 018. A change in palette preserves this number. | 9: At the central ring, there are three groups of three green light nodes: nine in total. |
| 021 · Light Necklace | 5 | Five orange petals in the core and five wide transparent petals show the same five. | 15: Five groups of golden-green lights contain three points each: 5 × 3 = 15. |
| 022 · Azure Petals | 5 | Five large azure-turquoise petal groups radiate from a common center. Closer to it are five golden lights—one for each group. | 10: Along the outer circle are five pairs of red light points: 5 × 2 = 10. We count the individual lights within the pairs. |
| 023 · Rainbow Wings | 3 | Three large curved wings repeat around a common center. Each is recognizable as a combination of a warm transparent fan and a green-blue light arc. | 6: On the outer arcs, three pairs of noticeable white lights are visible: one at the top left, another on the right, and a third at the bottom left. Total 3 × 2 = 6. |
| 024 · Peacock Wheel | 8 | Eight large golden groups surround the center: four are directed up, down, right, and left, and another four are along the diagonals. | 16: Each of the eight golden groups consists of two main feather halves: 8 × 2 = 16. Small curls within the halves are not counted separately. |
| 025 · Three Golden Fans | 3 | Three large golden fans, each with a green-blue accent: one at the top left, one at the top right, and one at the bottom. | 6: In the inner ring around the orange center, six large golden curls are visible: two at the top, one on the left and one on the right, and two at the bottom. Small feathers within these groups are not counted separately. |
| 026 · Golden Sphere | 9 | The nine is repeated on two levels: nine large golden petals of the central flower and nine pairs of red sparks along the outer circle. | 18: In each of the nine outer pairs, there are two discernible red sparks: 9 × 2 = 18. The count refers to the main sparks in the pairs; small intersections of light lines are not included. |
| 027 · Golden Star | 8 | Eight large patterned golden groups surround the central star. | 16: Sixteen small golden arrow-like accents are located along the outer circle, two in each of the eight repeating sectors. |
| 028 · Spiral Wreath | 6 | Six of the largest spiral centers are along the outer contour. Individual curls are counted, not their numerous internal ribs. | 3: Three smaller curls are outside the golden ring: at the top left, below the middle on the right, and at the bottom left. They are separate from the six largest outer spirals.; 9: Nine discernible spiral centers are inside the golden ring: three repeating groups of three curls each. Threads, ribs, and light glints are not counted as separate spirals. |
| 029 · Purple Crown | 15 | Fifteen multicolored ornaments repeat evenly around the circumference. Fifteen large outer arcs pass between adjacent ornaments; this is a second way to see the same fifteen-part rhythm. | — |
| 030 · Golden Fern | 6 | Six large gray-purple feather stems surround the center: top, top right, bottom right, bottom, bottom left, and top left. They denote the six main repeating sectors. | — |
| 031 · Amber Halo | 42 | In the primarily bright golden crown, there are forty-two narrow radial petals. The whole ray-like motifs of this crown are counted; their split tips and numerous nested threads are not added to the count. | — |
| 032 · Rainbow Fans | 4 | Four main fan-shaped directions diverge vertically and horizontally from a common center: up, right, down, and left. Smaller diagonal branches are noted as details, without being assigned an additional number. | — |
| 033 · Quiet Bloom | 3 | Three large beige-gold loop-like swirls behind the green wreath: one on the left, one top right, and one bottom right. These three large loops are counted, rather than all the small floral forms. | — |
| 034 · Feather Symphony | 3 | Three main branches extend from the center to small multicolored rosettes: top left, top right, and bottom. These three branching directions are counted. | 6: Six large green feather-like swirls: the top, middle, and bottom pairs around the center. |
| 035 · Turquoise Depths | 4 | Four large amber teardrop petals are directed up, right, down, and left from the purple core. A sequence of narrowing loops is visible in each. | — |
| 036 · Twilight Tapestry | 6 | Six large glowing circular ornaments surround the central flower: one at the top, two on the right, one at the bottom, and two on the left. This outer circle of six lights is counted; the central flower is not included. | — |
| 037 · Rainbow Garden | 10 | Ten large branches with wide green tips surround the center. Moving clockwise: two at the top, one top right, one right, one bottom right, two at the bottom, one bottom left, one left, and one top left. Small branches within these ten groups are not added separately. | — |
| 038 · Golden Radiance | Not assigned | Many thin, unequal rays and nested threads; no stable number of large identical sectors has been established. No conventional number is assigned to the center of the spiral. | — |
| 039 · Forest Window | Not assigned | Bilateral symmetry and nested oval forms are noted. There is no single number of repeating large sectors; the mere division into left and right halves is not used to assign a number. | — |
| 040 · Purple Paths | 6 | Six large turquoise-purple nodes form a surround for the amber center: two at the top on the diagonals, one on the right, two at the bottom on the diagonals, and one on the left. These six repeating nodes are counted; the central circle and small branches are not added. | — |
| 041 · Golden Arches | 4 | Four large rounded arches are located at the top, right, bottom, and left of the center. The top and bottom differ in detail from the sides; the number 4 describes the visible large structure, rather than a complete match of all four quarters. | — |
| 042 · Emerald Shutters | 4 | Four large green-turquoise flaps are directed toward the four corners: top right, bottom right, bottom left, and top left. Each flap includes two adjacent halves; they are counted as one large group. | — |
| 043 · Turquoise Vaults | 4 | Four large turquoise relief forms occupy the top left, top right, bottom right, and bottom left quarters. Small repeating edges within each form are not included in this count. | — |
| 044 · Copper Rays | 10 | Ten main copper-orange radial branches: one directed right, one left, four above the horizontal axis, and four below. The large branches with long sharp extensions are counted; intermediate olive forms are not added separately. | — |
| 045 · Flower in Twilight | 12 | Twelve large burgundy-purple petals are marked by individual golden curved tips. They are grouped into six pairs: top, top right, bottom right, bottom, bottom left, and top left. The small central flower is not included in this count; 12 does not reduce to 3. | — |
| 046 · Bronze Wings | 4 | Four large bronze forms diverge from the center along the diagonals: top left, top right, bottom right, and bottom left. These four internal groups are counted; gray-green branches and small relief elements are not added separately. | — |
| 047 · Silver Facets | 6 | Six large light rays of the inner star are directed right, bottom right, bottom left, left, top left, and top right. These six large rays are counted; the small teeth of the dark center and nested lines are not added separately. | — |
| 048 · Amber Vortex | Not assigned | A leading number has not yet been assigned: wide folds, thin loops, and intermediate branches form various intersecting levels. The small center and the overall vortex do not serve as a basis for assigning a number on their own. | — |
| 049 · Golden Sparks | Not assigned | A leading number has not yet been assigned: the lace flower, wide flows, and small lights belong to different levels of the pattern. The lights are unevenly distributed, and some folds intersect; a number based on assumed symmetry is not assigned. | — |
| 050 · Arches of Infinity | 4 | On the main dark disk, four large rounded arches are discernible—one in each quarter. Only this outer row is counted; nested loops, internal intersections, and partially cropped side disks are not included in the number. | — |
| 051 · Angel | Not assigned | A leading number has not yet been assigned: oval contours and light folds overlap repeatedly and diminish along the axis. There is no single, clearly separable row of elements here; mirror balance itself does not serve as a basis for a numerical signature. | — |
| 052 · An Image from a Dream | Not assigned | A leading number has not yet been assigned. Long rays branch unevenly, thin threads merge with a fine fractal pattern, and central arcs form several overlapping levels. Without a clear identification of a single row, no numerical signature is added. | — |
| 053 · Pendulum of Eternity | Not assigned | A leading number has not yet been assigned. The lace edge, folds of the large form, and a chain diminishing upwards form different levels; the smallest links merge at the edge of the frame. No single unambiguous row for a numerical signature has been identified here. | — |
| 054 · Gates of the Unfathomable | 3 | Three large internal twisted nodes are arranged in a triangle: one at the top, the second at the bottom left, and the third at the bottom right. These three main groups are counted; the paired halves of the nodes and the numerous folds of the outer wreath are not added separately. | — |
| 055 · Narrow Gates | Not assigned | A leading number has not yet been assigned. Arches, alternating stripes, and side swirls repeat at different scales and partially extend beyond the frame. There is no single, clearly separable row of large, equal elements; bilateral symmetry alone does not dictate a numerical signature. | — |
| 056 · Genesis | 2 | Two distinctly highlighted golden-orange nodes: one to the left of the center, the second to the right. These two separate large glowing groups are counted, rather than just the mirrored halves of the image. The inner loops and the upper and lower fans are not included in this count. | — |
| 057 · Union | 4 | Four large areas of silvery-olive threads unfold diagonally: top-left, top-right, bottom-right, and bottom-left. These four corner fans are counted; the central node is not assigned a conditional number 1, and nested loops are not added. | — |
| 058 · New Life | 2 | Two separate large orange-green groups are located on the sides of the frame. These two forms with independent green cores are counted; the central intersections of thin lines do not form a third such group. | — |
| 059 · Bifurcation Point | Not assigned | No leading number assigned: the upper fan, the central vortex, and the lower folds form different levels of a continuous pattern. No single row of equal elements is distinguished; the title "Bifurcation Point" itself does not establish the number 2. | — |
| 060 · Guardians of Balance | 4 | Four large amber oval groups occupy the top-left, top-right, bottom-left, and bottom-right parts of the drawing. These four comparable outer forms are counted; the smaller patterns of the central chain are not added. | — |
