Two short stories

01

The Dream

One night, a disciple dreamed of God.

In the morning, he told his companions about it.

“What did He look like?” they asked.

The disciple was about to answer, but paused in thought.

He remained silent for a long time, while his companions waited patiently for the story.

Only the teacher knew there would be no story.

02

Revelation

One day, a disciple received a revelation from God.

He went to the teacher to tell him about it.

But as soon as the disciple opened his mouth, the teacher stopped him:

“You cannot convey the revelation. What you tell me will only be your interpretation.”
